About ‘Nice And New’

Hello!

I’m a 32-year old lexical girl, in my lovely city of Bombay. I love travel, yoga, gardening, books, colours and MS Dhoni.

All good things come to this blog. This is a place where I chiefly write about my experiences of crossing items off my Life List. I also write about other goals, in the hope that being accountable will help me stay on the wagon!

Got something you want me to include? Mail me at niceandnewblog (at) gmail (dot) com.

Have fun!

Love,

Sosha

  5. Nice blog you have! You are a journalist? I am sure you have stories to tell. I am totally RSSing your blog

p.s. just saw this post on the side life list #14 – eat 100 fruits. Hahaha, that is going to be my Sunday read.

p.p.s. How many to-dos you have on your list btw?

  6. Hi Kunal!

Yes, I used to be a journalist. I’m a writer now.

I’m far from reaching the 100-fruit mark. Barely a few done, as I’m not really counting the usual ones I’ve been eating since childhood.

For the entire life-list, lookie here: https://niceandnew.wordpress.com/2011/04/27/do-before-i-die-list/

    Thanks for visiting MirrorCracked! 🙂
I went through your blog and found it quite interesting! As a linguist myself, I think its a pleasant change to read someone like you rather than the language-murdering kids you see blogging these days. I’ve found Mumbai quite an adventure so far. You need to give me more tips. Less gyaan, more tips. 🙂

    Cheers,
    Nikhil

  13. Dear Sosha,

I am a writer and my second book Zero Percentile 2.0 – Missed IIT Kissed Gurgaon came out this week. It is a sequel to ZP1 and takes off from where ZP1 finished.

I came across your blog and saw that you review books and so wanted to request you to review the book, of course if you have time to spare.

    Kind regards
    Neeraj

    1. Hi Neeraj, congratulations on your second book! I know it’s difficult to get published, and you’re already out with two books; must feel great : )

Right now, I’m in the middle of reading the entire series of Ramayana by Ashok K. Banker, and that’s going to take up a few months. Once I’m done with that, I’ll definitely read ZP and do a review on this blog.

Thank you for reading my blog. Best wishes for ZP 3, if you’re thinking of it already 🙂

  14. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I will have to check yours out some time…add it to my list of blogs I have to read/catch up on!

  15. Hi Sonali,

Congratulations for such a creative blog.

We have a startup in the travel domain http://MyIndianStay.com which connects travelers and locals with spare space, and we are looking for creative writers to help us. Let me know if you find the idea interesting. Its founded by engineers and we look forward to get onboard some creative ppl.

    1. Hey! Thank you for the offer!
I did try to access the website, but the link’s broken. Let me know once you guys manage to fix it, and I’ll ask around if any friends are interesting in writing. I would’ve loved to, but I am swamped with other writing assignments for the next few months already.

Let me know once the website is up and running again 🙂 Best!

  16. Hi,

Would you be interested in reviewing my new book “Love, Peace and Happiness:What more can you want?”

I could do an author interview on yours. I will post your review on my fanpage which has more than 10,000 fans, thereby increasing visibility for your blog. Let me know if this makes sense for your blog.

Also since you have left your job for traveling (like few of us) I’ll really like to read in a separate blogpost for your fellow travelers
    1. How do you afford your travels
    and
    2. How do you save money to travel.

Waiting for your reply and do join twitter or make a fb page for convenience 🙂

  19. magnificent publish, very informative. I ponder why the opposite specialists of
